This website has been set up as a companion piece to the graphic novel Falling Sky. If you've read it, thanks very much - hope you enjoyed it. You'll find lots of additional information about the book on this site, including how and why it was written, information about how the artwork was developed, and more.

If you've not read the book, well, hopefully this website will persuade you towards giving it a go - there is a sample of the book on the site, covering the first sixteen pages of the book, and you can also buy the book directly from this site. In the meantime, here's the pitch:

Falling Sky is an 80-page graphic novel that deals with the concept of an unavoidable and devestating asteroid impact on the Earth, and how we would react to such an event.

In the story, that the imminent arrival of the asteroid is the most tightly-guarded secret the world has ever had. A lucky few have been chosen to survive, but for one of those people, loans company chairman Charles Pearson, being kidnapped and held for ransom two days before impact scuppers his chances of being saved. The authorities, fearful that Pearson will talk about the asteroid, order him and his kidnappers to be silenced…

Written and Illustrated by myself, Benjamin Dickson, the project was written in script form in late 2002-early 2003, and was illustrated over a period of around 18 months between 2004 and 2005.
