EMERGENCY ANNOUNCEMENT: If you have recieved an email from someone with my name asking about financial representation in the US, I would like you to know that 1: This has nothing to do with me, and 2: THIS IS A SCAM. It's what is known as a 419 scam. This person is effectively trying to steal money from your account, most likely by giving you a fraudulent cheque and then having you send real money to him before the cheque bounces. The best thing to do is to tell him to fuck off - but I would also read up on 419 scams here, and if you feel so obliged, dog him in to the feds. Or, if you like taking matters into your own hands, you could always try playing with these guys. -Benjamin Dickson |
