LANDSCAPES
The first few landscapes I painted (having only really started them in the last couple of years) were painted with a paintbrush, painting onto a very rough surface. That was fun but very difficult to control, and I've since moved on to painting with a pallette knife. I love painting in this way, the texture it gives me is really fun to manipulate.

PORTRAITS
Like landscape art, I only recently started painting portraits, previously much prefering to use my camera for such work. My subject, for the moment at least, is the nude figure - my work is attempting to create a sensual and intimate feel to a painting without being overtly sexual.
